- Hubble's 30th Anniversary Musical Redux - through June 27, 2024 - Western Kentucky University Hardin Planetarium 1501 State St., Bowling Green, KY 42101
It's been 34 years since NASA launched the Hubble Space Telescope, and with breakthroughs such as discovering dark energy, the observatory has changed the way we understand the universe. The WKU Hardin Planetarium is hosting free Hubble's 30th Anniversary Musical Redux shows with images captured by the HST accompanied by a specially composed soundtrack. After the show, questions about HST, its images, astronomy, and astrophysics will be answered.
- Ground to Sky: The Sinkhole Reimagined - June 14-September 15, 2024 - National Corvette Museum. 350 Corvette Drive, Bowling Green, KY 42101
The National Corvette Museum is dedicated to celebrating America's Sports Car, the Chevrolet Corvette. The museum transformed itself after a sinkhole engulfed eight of its cars, a devastating sight captured by security cameras. Starting on the 10th anniversary of the sinkhole, the museum will host an exhibit that documents the events of this day while demonstrating how far the museum has come over 10 years. You'll get to see cars damaged from the sinkhole, as well as two that were fully restored afterward. And through dramatic multimedia, you'll see more about the museum's history as well as its outlook for the future.

Visit the Kentucky Museum's First Farmers exhibit later this summer for a look at how life along the Barren River may have looked over 700 years ago. Excavations by the Kentucky Archaeological Survey have revealed aspects of Native American farm life in this area, including economics/trade, settlement, technology, and more. The free exhibit is a fascinating way to learn about how indigenous peoples lived in the area before contact with Europeans.
- 400 Mile Sale: Discover Hwy. 68-Treasures - June 6-9, 2024 - Multiple sites in Barren, Warren, and other counties
Get in on the fun with the Bowling Green area's section of the yearly 400 Mile Sale, where you can shop from participating barns, yards, estates, or roadside stands.
