The lineup for this summer's "Ice Cream and a Moovie" series features Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Of course, ice cream is the main event. Chaney's offers more than five dozen innovative regular and seasonal flavors, including Papa Guava, their winning flavor from Guy's All-American Road Trip on the Food Network. Hours are 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday.

Star in your own adventure movie when you take the boat tour of Lost River Cave. The cavern has a colorful past as an ancient native hunting ground, Civil War campground, Jesse James hideout, and even a 1930s nightclub. Afterward, explore the park's two miles of nature trails and butterfly habitat. Kids enjoy panning for gemstones and fossils. Lost River Cave is open daily from 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Cave boat tickets are $5.95-$23.95, while admission to the pet-friendly park is free.

The gently rolling hills of Bowling Green provide a stunning setting for Baker Arboretum. Nearly 115 acres are studded with more than 1,500 varieties of trees and plants, including several endangered species. Don't miss the Downing Museum, created by Jerry Baker to be the "crown jewel" of his namesake arboretum. The museum serves as a tribute to the life and works of Joseph Dudley Downing as well as an exhibition space for other local, regional, and national artists. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
- The Historic RailPark & Train Museum - 401 Kentucky St., Bowling Green, KY 42101
The Historic RailPark & Train Museum celebrates a time when railroads were vital to transportation and commerce in the United States. Narration from an L&N cook, Pullman porter, and conductor brings interactive displays to life in the two-story museum. In the depot, climb aboard restored railcars, including a caboose and the Presidential Car, the oldest surviving passenger car manufactured by the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. Hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., seven days a week. Admission is $16 for adults and $10 for ages 5-12.
