RV Campgrounds Around Bowling Green, KY | Crye-Leike Executive Realty

If you love camping and spending time outdoors, we have great news: June is National Camping Month. This holiday has been observed since the 1970s, and it is the perfect reason to find a local camping spot and book a weekend getaway. So, where do people typically camp around Bowling Green? Our real estate agents can recommend the following RV parks and campgrounds.

  • Bowling Green KOA Holiday: 1960 Three Springs Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42104
    Bowling Green KOA Holiday
is a great place to camp if you have kids or want access to many on-site amenities. They have spacious RV spots that can fit up to a 100-foot RV. There's WiFi available throughout the campground, and all campers have access to firewood, an on-site dog park, a miniature golf course, and several pavilions.

If you don't have an RV, Bowling Green KOA also has tent sites for rent. The sand volleyball pits and corn hole setup will give you plenty to do during your stay, regardless of accommodations.

  • Beech Bend Campground: 321 Corvette St., Bowling Green, KY 42101
    Beech Bend Campground
was founded as a picnic area in the late 1800s. It has since been developed into a full campground with more than 400 sites. If you have an RV, you can choose between sites with full hookups and those with electric only. There's also a shaded, wooden area with primitive tent camping sites.

Fishing is available at Beech Bend Campground, but fishing licenses are required per Kentucky laws. There's also a laundromat, bathrooms, and showers on-site. Splash Lagoon and the Beech Bend Raceway are within walking distance.

  • Dad's Bluegrass Campground: 2889 Scottsville Rd., Franklin, KY 42134
Dad's Bluegrass Campground is just a short drive from Bowling Green in nearby Franklin, Kentucky. If you're looking at Franklin homes for sale, you could make a weekend of it and camp here. Most of their RV sites are pull-throughs and have tent sites available, too.

Dad's Bluegrass Campground has fire rings, a gazebo, and grills. There's a fishing pond on-site, a playground, and a basketball court for the kids. WiFi is available throughout the campground, and a convenience store sells the basics.

  • Bailey's Point Campground: 3147 Baileys Point Rd., Scottsville, KY 42164
If you're looking at Scottsville homes for sale, a stay at Bailey's Point Campground is the perfect choice. This campground was built by the Army Corps of Engineers. It rests on Barren River Lake and offers 215 RV and tent sites. There are incredible scenic views of the lake and woods from every campsite.

Bailey's Point offers opportunities for fishing and water skiing on the lake. Bald eagles are sometimes spotted in the park. Plus, there are several great hiking trails in the area.

  • The Narrows: 1880 Narrows Rd., Glasgow, KY 42141
    The Narrows
is another great campground located on Barren River Lake. It has 92 sites and a boat launch ramp. This campground also has many family-friendly amenities, including a horseshoe pit, beach volleyball courts, and an amphitheater. Guests often tube or wakeboard on the lake.

The Narrows is located near many great Glasgow homes for sale. There's a dump station on-site, and both water and electrical hookups are available. Visitors see a lot of deer in this park.
