  Dueling Grounds Distillery, the southernmost stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, is located near Franklin homes for sale. Its most well-known offering is Linkumpinch Bourbon, named for a nearby farm known for its legendary duels. The bourbon embodies grains of the region and is double-pot distilled before being aged for four years in charred oak barrels. For an un-aged bourbon, try the White Lightning, made using locally grown and milled Kentucky grains. Whichever bourbon you choose, you'll know it was made, bottled, and labeled by hand in the distillery. The distillery also has a second tasting room in the historic Sandford Duncan Stagecoach Inn, open for tours by appointment.

  You probably think of Mellow Mushroom as a pizza destination, and while it's a great place to order your favorite pies, it also offers a surprising selection of bourbons. More than 70 bourbons are offered at the Bowling Green location, including favorites like W.L.Weller and Blanton's. A trip to Mellow Mushroom is a good option if you love bourbon, especially if members of your party aren't imbibing or want to choose wine or a cocktail. Mocktails are also offered.

  Montana Grille offers a variety of bourbons, including the Private Select Knob Creek Single Barrel. It's distilled using the finest grains before aging in white oak barrels with maximum char at the distillery in Clermont. To get a taste of bourbon in another form, try the Kentucky Bourbon Filet, rotisserie-fired, wrapped in bacon, slow-roasted over hickory, and basted in the restaurant's rich bourbon sauce.
